Median Age by Communities and Regions

 Median age is a measure of the age of a community, it is the age at which half the individuals in a community or region are younger than the median age and half are older. This feature allows the user to compare the median age across communities and regions in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Road Distance Database Obtain distances between any two communities in Newfoundland and Labrador or find all communities that fall within a certain distance of another community.
Business Register This feature allows you to view businesses by employee ranges or businesses by NAICS(industry) codes. This feature is available for regions throughout the province but is not available for communities due to confidentiality restrictions.
Topic Analysis The topic analysis is designed for retrieving topics for different geographies to aid in making comparisons.
Well-Being Indicator Analysis This allows the user to choose one or more of the 13 main well-being indicators and then change upper and lower limits to obtain lists of communities with certain characteristics.

Determinants of Quality of Life - General Model Utilizing data from the 2001 Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Activity Survey and using well established methods of analysis, the Newfoundland and Labrador Statistics Agency has begun an initial examination of the components that affect quality of life.
Adult Health Survey Comparisons Allows the user to compare a set of similar questions from the 1995 Adult Health Survey to the 2001 Adult Health Survey.
Smoking and Health Status, 2001 This is an analysis of questions on smoking and questions on health status from the 2001 Adult Health Survey. This is only available for the Province.
Income Inequality An in-depth analysis of income inequality at the provincial level with comparisons to other Canadian Provinces and internationally.
Census Information 1911 to 2001 This section shows Census information on family characteristics and households for the period 1911 through to 2001 where available.
Provincial Salt Cod Comparison 1804-2000 This section shows the value of salt cod and the amount produced in metric tonnes by Newfoundland and Labrador for 1804 through to 2000.
