Canadian Centre for Justice StatisticsThis is a collection of police reported incidents of crime developed by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS) in cooperation with the policing community. The data is collected through the Uniform Crime Reporting Survey (UCR) to measure the incidence of crime in Canadian society and its characteristics. The most serious offence occurring in a reported incident is the basis for counting reported crime in the UCR survey.

Quality of School Life SurveyThe Quality of School Life Survey is completed each year by the Department of Education. It is a mandatory survey that is completed by two school grades every year, offering insight into school relationships, self esteem, and school safety.
Provincial Survey of Attitudes on ViolenceThe purpose of this survey was to evaluate the attitudes of residents of Newfoundland and Labrador with regards to violence and abuse in the province. This was a telephone survey from a random sample of residents, over the age of 18, throughout the province. The survey tool was adapted from a survey conducted by the Prince Albert and Area Communities against Violence in 2001.
