The Community Accounts' Team was the recipient of the 2003 IPAC (The Institute of Public Administration of Canada) Award for Innovative Management.

To recognize the exceptional management within the public sector of Canada, the Institute of Public Administration of Canada launched "The IPAC Award for Innovative Management" in 1991. Each year a new theme is chosen by the IPAC Board of Directors and the sponsors. Nominations are evaluated by a jury of eminent public servants, academics and business people.

The Community Accounts was also nominated for the 2000 IPAC Award for Innovative Management.

The Community Accounts' Team was the recipient of the 2002 Public Service Award of Excellence.

The Public Service Award of Excellence recognizes individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to the public service of Newfoundland and Labrador. For the purpose of this award, a team is a group of employees within the core public service who work together on a common goal or task. Team members can be in the same division or department, or may be drawn from different divisions and departments.

The Community Accounts was also nominated for the 2001 Public Service Award of Excellence
